Managing Categories
Categories help you group related blog posts so your readers can quickly find content on the topics they care about. With Hyperblog, you can create, edit, delete, and bulk-manage categories to keep your blog organized as it grows.
How It Works
•Create as many categories as you need to reflect the main topics of your blog.
•Assign one or more categories to a blog post while editing it.
•Rename or update categories at any time without breaking your existing posts.
•Delete a single category, or select several and remove them in bulk.
•Filter your blog list by category to quickly review related content.
Steps
1.Open the Categories page from the dashboard navigation menu.
2.Click the option to create a new category and enter a clear, descriptive name.
3.Save the category so it becomes available when editing blog posts.
4.To rename a category, select it, edit the name, and save your changes.
5.To remove categories, select one or more and choose delete to clear them in a single action.
6.Assign categories to a blog from within the editor when writing or updating a post.
Category Actions
Action | What It Does |
|---|---|
Create | Add a new category to group blog posts by topic. |
Edit | Rename or update an existing category. |
Delete | Remove a single category you no longer need. |
Bulk Delete | Select multiple categories and remove them all at once. |
Tips & Notes
•Keep category names short and broad so they stay useful as you publish more posts.
•Avoid creating too many overlapping categories — use tags for finer-grained labels.
•Review your categories periodically and merge or remove ones that are rarely used.
A clean, consistent category structure makes it easier for readers to navigate your blog and discover related content.
Deleting a category cannot be undone. Posts assigned to that category will simply lose the association, so review before bulk deleting.
Troubleshooting
•Category not appearing in the editor? Refresh the page to load the latest list, then try assigning it again.
•Can't save a new category? Make sure the name isn't a duplicate and that the field isn't left blank.
•A deleted category still showing on the blog list? Clear any active filters and refresh to see the updated results.
•Bulk delete not responding? Confirm at least one category is selected before applying the action.
